It is inevitable that gardening creates a certain amount of waste. Some clients have their own composting facilities which I use whenever I can. All other waste is transferred to the Mewburn Road (off Whessoe Road) waste transfer site where it can be recycled appropriately. If you wish to see proof of recycling then please ask me.
I believe that recycling is an essential element in reducing landfill but I am also concerned that the charges levied encourage indiscriminate fly tipping. In the town, this is soon spotted and dealt with accordingly. In the countryside there are many field access roads and hedges to conceal the rubbish and it can take weeks or months before it is removed.
